Take Surveys

Taking surveys can be a convenient was to bring in some cash on the side. There are several safe sites that offer cash for taking surveys. It can take anywhere  from 15-55 minutes to complete a survey but you get to choose whether or not you take them. This makes survey taking ideal because you can squeeze in a survey while you rock your baby to sleep or while on the elliptical. Survey taking can be completely catered to your daily schedule. Here are a few sites to try.

Ibotta is an app that you can easily download into your phone. To make a little extra cash, simply take a photo of your receipt and you’ll get cash back for items that you purchase. This could be an opportunity to make money doing something that you love. What could be better?!

Coupon

Couponing in and of itself is not bringing cash, I know. However it is keeping cash from “going out” and as far as I am concerned, that’s a meaningful way to contribute. You can coupon by signing up for email discounts from brands that you often, buy, downloading store apps and utilizing the coupon sections or simply by using online couponing databases that share manufacturer’s coupons for the most popular brands.

Consignment Shops

Recently, I was given a large load on hand me downs from a friend closing her photography business. I decided to peruse the “loot” and keep some things for my children but then, I sent the remainder of it to swap.com. I simply filled up a box with the clothes that were gently used and in excellent condition, waited for the clothes to be approved, assigned prices for my clothing and sat back and watched the dollars come in. You can also save some cash by shopping on Swap for your family. Return shipping is free so you can have the items you’re interested in mailed to you, try them out and return any items you don’t want to keep without a hassle

Refinish Furniture

If you love to DIY or bring used furniture back to life, consider keeping your eye out at local thrift stores and garage sales. Repair and renew items that needed a little extra love and sell them for more than you spent.

Tutor

Tutoring is a great option because you can set your schedule, usually get paid $20-30 an hour and have a consistent income.
