5 Biggest Spring Home Decor Trends To Try

As the cold weather drags on for just a little but longer, it’s nice to focus on cozying up the inside of your home and getting it ready for sunshine and all things spring. Check out these five spring home decor trends that will pull you out of your winter slump in no time!

Brass Accents

You can use brass to decorate your home in lots of ways- from picture frames to towel hooks to mirrors to lamps. There’s something for everyone, no matter your budget or your particular style. Update your gallery wall with matching brass frames or even a simple candle holder switch up can bring your home from drab to fab. Mixed metals are also in, so don’t be afraid to match your brass with silvers, coppers, and golds.

Plants

Plants are pretty much always in style, and there’s no better way to decorate your home in the spring than with greenery and fresh flowers. For something besides the typical potted plant or bouquet of flowers, style some fresh eucalyptus in a vase on your dining table, then dry out the leaves and hang them on the wall. If you just can’t get the indoor plant thing down, try a convincing fake one in a neutral plant stand.

Jewel Tones

The color of the year, according to Pantone, is Ultra Violet. It’s rich and vibrant and a fun pop of color. Sherwin Williams, on the other hand, declared the color of the year to be Oceanside, a gorgeous and calming shade of teal. Whichever way you swing, both of these colors fall into the “jewel-tone” category and work beautifully together or on their own. Tie it in to your space with a throw pillow or a print from a local artist, like this or this.

Velvet

This is a trend that blossomed this past fall, but it is carrying over into the spring. Velvet is not only captivating with its moody attitude, but it is cozy and comfortable. A velvet couch is perfect for curling up with a book on a rainy spring day. If you’re not ready to take the plunge with such a statement piece, use a velvet throw pillow or blanket to get the same vibes on a smaller scale.

Bold Florals

“Florals” are another trend we found last fall, only for spring, it’s time to brighten them up! Add a little bohemian flare to your home by decorating with a big splash of color like this accent chair. Or keep things simple and add a pretty floral painted vase to your collection.

Add one or two of these spring home decor trends and you’ll be ready to beat this winter slump!
